Development Technical Writer
Interop is looking for an experienced Development Technical Writer to help in the documentation of our product offerings. The person in this position will be working with various departments in creating technically complex documentation, as well as collaborating with the Development organization during the design phase of new products. The Development Technical Writer will report directly to the Director of Software Development.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- The person in this position will be working with various departments in creating technically complex documentation, as well as collaborating with the development organization during the design phase of new products
- Participate in architecture and design sessions, and work with Software Development in the authoring of Architecture and Technical Specification documentation, as well as technical user manuals for a variety of new product offerings.
- Work on formalizing existing architecture and design documentation.
- Author technical user manuals for existing product offerings.
Candidates are required to have:
- Experience in authoring both software design documentation, as well as technical user manuals.
- Familiarity with the wireless industry.
- Experience with imaging software, for use in generating screen captures.
- Ability to work independently, proactively collecting any needed data from the other departments for a given task.
- Ability to learn quickly and work with tight deadlines.
- A portfolio of sample work in advance of an interview.
Preferred Skills and Education:
- A BS in Technical Writing, Engineering or related field.
