Product Manager
We are seeking a Product Manager to be responsible for managing all aspects of the product lifecycle for an assigned product line.
The successful candidate must be able to perform in a fast paced environment and be a self starter. The Product Manager will provide expertise to the organization and serve as the internal champion on needs of our internal and external customers.
An understanding of mobile messaging is a strong plus. Candidates must be able to converse comfortably about platform and internet technologies. An understanding of standard product development processes is a must.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyze the marketplace, customers, and competitors to understand market needs and work with the executive and sales teams and determine the appropriate feature sets for products.
- Transform market needs into clearly articulated product requirements.
- Manage the roadmap for assigned product line by prioritizing and delivering on new products and features, working closely with key resources such as software development, quality assurance, documentation, customer support, sales, marketing communications, and others to ensure successful product launch.
Candidates are required to have:
- Three or more years of direct Product Management experience at a mobile, internet, telecommunications, or software company.
- Strong product, project and lifecycle management skills including market analysis, business case development, product requirements definition, and launch plan development.
- Ability to analyze the marketplace, identify market and technology trends and assess implications
- Ability to work directly with customers to understand needs and identify solutions
- Ability to lead a cross-functional team to drive product development, implementation and launch.
- Proven track record of launching highly successful products on time and within budget.
- Ability to effectively lead and influence teams to drive to internal consensus and common goals.
- Demonstrated ability to develop sound business cases to ensure the prudent investment of resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- An understanding of mobile handset technologies and/or mobile messaging is a strong plus.
