- Provides both subscriber- and network-initiated updates, simplifying management of your device pool
- Offers an optional IVR system that automates routine tasks (activations, MDN/ESN/PRL changes)
- Includes automated PRL selection tool that optimizes the effectiveness of roaming agreements
Our SS7-based, IS-683 compliant OTA solution is the most powerful provisioning and parameter administration platform in the market. Driven by groups, such as 3GPP and the CDG OMH initiative, CDMA handsets continue to expand in functionality and rich features, creating increased demand to not only bring these devices to market, but also manage existing deployed handsets.
As collaboration and roaming agreements between operators continue to expand and change, the need to assign viable preferred roaming partners to devices is now deemed critical. The Interop Technologies CDMA OTA solution makes handset programming simple. Over-the-Air Service Provisioning (OTASP) enables subscribers to quickly and easily activate their devices.
CDMA OTA Key Benefits
- Available Interactive Voice Response System (IVR)
Our solution offers an optional IVR System that is fully integrated into the OTAF, saving you time and resources by automating routine tasks, including activation, MDN changes, ESN swaps, and PRL updates and inquiries, while making services available 24 hours a day.
Through online reports, you can view the outcome results of a session and the total number of times a session was attempted during a specified time frame via a specific MDN or TRN.
- OTAPA for mass updates or one-offs
With Over-the-Air Parameter Administration (OTAPA), operators can simply send mass updates to customer devices or reprogram individual devices. Customer service representatives can do “one-off” updates so engineers can focus on more technical tasks. OTAPA provides full business visibility with real-time, Web-based customer care and reporting from the OTA campaign to the individual customer level.
- Automated PRL selection
Automated PRL Selection dynamically determines the most appropriate PRL for a target device based on a number of operator-specified device or subscriber parameters. Parameters can include those collected directly from the device (via the protocol capabilities request, for example) or from other operator systems, such as the rate plan. This capability helps ensure that every device gets the right PRL, raising success rates, reducing the number of corrective resends, and optimizing the overall effectiveness of operators' roaming agreements.
- Service Programming Code (SPC) Algorithm and Retry Mechanism
An SPC Algorithm and Retry Mechanism provides the flexibility necessary to ensure maximum success rates for unlocking devices—an essential step in any device programming session. Available in cloud-hosted, private cloud, and turnkey deployments.
