FORT MYERS, FL.— Mar. 20, 2008—Interop Technologies, a leading provider of advanced wireless technology solutions for the global wireless, packaged goods, and content industries, today announced the opening of its new corporate offices.
Located at 13500 Powers Court in Fort Myers, Florida, the newly constructed building will house the company's management, sales and marketing, technology development, network operations center, and customer care functions. The move to the 20,000 square-foot office was necessitated by consistent growth in the company's sales, as well as expansion into Latin America. Interop Technologies has doubled its revenue each year since the company was launched six years ago.
Interop Technologies celebrated the open house with a champagne reception and ribbon-cutting attended by 75 invited guests including representatives from the City of Fort Myers Mayor's Office and City Council, the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, and key suppliers.

From its former switching facility location, Interop will continue to house its hosted network platforms. Redundancy is achieved with a full secondary back-up network in Atlanta, Georgia. Both the primary and secondary facilities are built to stringent telecommunications company requirements to withstand local environmental conditions.
Interop Technologies has 55 employees and currently is recruiting for positions in network engineering, software development, database administration, quality assurance, and project management.
Interop Technologies was started in 2002 by Jim Dwyer, Chairman, and John Dwyer, President and CEO. Jim Dwyer, a pioneer in the global wireless industry, founded the first commercial cellular system in the United States and subsequently headed the Wireless One family of wireless networks. These companies developed intellectual property upon which Interop Technologies built its initial wireless solutions. Since that time, Interop Technologies has enhanced the original solutions and substantially broadened its line of business-to-business offerings. In 2007, the company opened an office in Guatemala City, Guatemala, to serve the burgeoning Latin American wireless market.

The new building was constructed by Talamh Associates, a real estate development company. Furnishings were provided by Beaux Arts Group. Professional interior design was provided by Interior Concepts. All three companies are based in Fort Myers.
