FORT MYERS, FL.—Mar. 23, 2009—Think you've got the fastest thumbs in the West? If so, grab your "BFF" and head over to booth #5636 during the CTIA Wireless 2009 trade show April 1-3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Interop Technologies, the premier provider of core wireless solutions for messaging, device management, and connectivity gateways, will be hosting Ben Cook, a 22 year-old college student and text messaging champ from Utah.
Ben held the text messaging speed record in the 2008 Guinness World Records®, but his time was later beaten. Join Ben at the Interop booth on Wed., April 1 and Thurs., April 2 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, as he attempts to reclaim the world record by accurately triple tapping this tongue-twisting paragraph in less than 41 seconds:
"The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality, they seldom attack a human."
Two timekeepers, a videographer, and witnesses will be present to verify the outcome of Ben's record-setting attempt. If Ben breaks the existing record on Wednesday, he will try for an even better time on Thursday.
If you think you "coulda been a contender", here''s your opportunity! Ben will be warming up his thumbs by challenging CTIA attendees to speed text competitions between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm each day. Contestants must accurately triple tap one of several different messages Interop Technologies will provide about the company's messaging, device management, and connectivity gateway solutions. All contestants will receive a free t-shirt, and their names will be entered into a drawing for $1,000, just for participating. Anyone who beats Ben will win $500.
"Texting is a worldwide phenomenon, and SMS volume continues to grow at dramatic rates," said Damian Sazama, Vice President of Marketing and Product Development, Interop Technologies. "The Interop SMSC 4 Series is the world's fastest SMSC, providing wireless operators with the throughput they need to ensure timely, accurate delivery of all their customers' messages-even if they text as fast as Ben."
In addition to unprecedented speed, the highly reliable and extremely robust SMSC 4 Series delivers unlimited scalability and innovative technology. Interop is the only provider offering three flexible, affordable deployment options for today's tough economy:
Unlike other hosting companies, which can only provide long-term hosted solutions, Interop helps operators adjust quickly to changing business needs and SMS loads. Interop can easily migrate text messaging services from its hosted solution to its turnkey solution-with no change in technologies or tools. This capability greatly reduces technology and financial risk, especially as load is peaking.
