DEPARTMENT: Technical Realization-Quality Assurance
REPORTS TO: Director of Software Development and Quality Assurance
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

Applicants will be asked to provide verification of employment authorization in the United States.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Aid in the design and execution of software testing and test plans as assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance
• Participate in the creation, extension and application of testing infrastructure and procedures necessary to assure the highest quality experience for Interop's end-users
• Work closely with software development teams to identify and correct deviations from the product software specification
• Work quickly and thoroughly in a fast paced environment to achieve agreed upon timelines and objectives

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

• C/C++ programming experience
• Strong knowledge of the UNIX and/or Linux operation system
• Strong knowledge of Perl and PHP
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Ability to efficiently execute technical test specifications and update plan documentation
• Strong desire to both learn new technology and teach others
• Flexibility to manage rapidly changing requirements
• Strong analytical, business logic and problem resolution skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong control and follow-up skills
• Solid decision making skills
• Strong conflict resolution skills

Education / Experience:

• A BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
• 1 year of software hands-on QA experience or hands-on Software Development experience

Other:

• May require travel and/or be on-call
• May require working in excess of 40 hours / week
• Physical requirements:
• Ability to sit at a desk for one or more hours at a time
• Ability to operate computer and other equipment in the office
