FORT MYERS, FL.—Aug. 14, 2007—Interop Technologies, a leading provider of advanced wireless technology solutions, today announced the appointment of Eddy Cojulún Vela as Regional Sales Director for Latin America and the Caribbean. Cojulún has nearly 13 years of experience in working with wireless operators and implementing CDMA and GSM solutions in the area. He is based in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Cojulún will be responsible for managing regional sales of Interop Technologies hosted and turnkey messaging, device management, and personalization solutions to wireless operators.
Most recently, Cojulún was Marketing Director for Broadband Strategy for Nortel Networks in Peru and Ecuador. For the previous three years, he served at Telefónica Móviles de España, initially as a Regional Production IT Manager, and later as a Marketing Manager, in Guatemala and El Salvador. Cojulún also worked as a Regional Sales Manager-Telcos for IDS de Centroamérica for four years and managed distributors for the Informix Business Division of SISTECO, a computer services company, for nearly four years. He studied at Francisco Marroquín University in Guatemala and received a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from AMU-Gruppen in Uddevalla, Sweden.
A native of Guatemala, Cojulún speaks English, Swedish, and French in addition to Spanish.
