FORT MYERS, FL.—Jan. 26, 2010 —Interop Technologies, the premier provider of core wireless solutions for messaging, device management, and gateway connectivity, today announced announced that PC Management has purchased Interop's turnkey Short Message Service Center (SMSC) 4.0 and SCOPE™ Device Management solutions including support services.
Headquartered in Bonita Springs, Florida, PC Management is a regional wireless operator and a mobile and convergence applications services provider. The company plans to deploy the solutions in 1Q 2010. The Interop SMSC 4.0 solution enables PC Management to offer advanced messaging services and generate additional revenue. The SCOPE™ solution provides PC Management with convenient, subscriber-focused technology to manage customer devices on its networks. Interop also is providing PC Management with custom development services, as well as application and administration training for its employees.
The reliable Interop SMSC 4.0 Series solution fully supports the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)/Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) framework for messaging while maintaining seamless interoperability with legacy handsets and networks. The highly modular, scalable, and extensible solution enables PC Management to expand its messaging customer base and deliver 4G messaging services today.
SCOPE™ (Subscriber Capability Originated Provisioning Environment) improves customer satisfaction by automatically identifying device problems and enabling a "One-Click Fix". Customer service representatives—or customers using an optional self-care portal—can resolve device issues quickly and conveniently. SCOPE™ manages newer devices compliant with Open Mobile Alliance DM, FUMO, and SCOMO standards and integrates seamlessly into existing SS7-based DM solutions for CDMA or GSM.
This new contract enhances PC Management's current offerings, which include Interop's Common Short Code (CSC) Gateway. In 2008 PC Management selected Interop to provide a hosted CSC Gateway for Immix Wireless (www.immix.com), one of its operating companies. The gateway has supported successful local and national short-code campaigns for Immix, which serves 10 counties in central Pennsylvania and offers nationwide plans through its partnerships with GSM providers. The addition of Interop's SMSC will allow for dynamic updates of short codes through auto-provisioning, reducing the amount of time needed to initiate campaigns.
