Become a Human Resources Coordinator at Interop

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintains employee handbook; prepares revisions to comply with changes in company policy and/or regulatory requirements
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and employee benefits
  • Performs benefits administration and compliance, including open enrollment, change reporting, reconciling benefits invoices for payment, and communicating benefits information to employees and other eligible participants
  • Participates in the management of the third party payroll vendor platform; manages changes to payroll data base as to compensation, leave and other personnel changes
  • Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary 2
  • Conducts the recruitment effort for all personnel positions, manages job ad placements, coordinates scheduling of interviews and reference checks, prepares pre-employment and new hire paperwork, coordinates employment background and other testing, conducts new employee orientations
  • Maintains job description library. Works with hiring managers to periodically revise and update
  • Maintains personnel files and HR-related sections on the Company Intranet
  • HR resource for employees and management for questions and/or issues regarding employment, compensation, benefits, policies. Conducts internal HR management training
  • Handles employee relations counseling, exit interviews, and all related paperwork
  • Prepares and files all required reports and claims (e.g., employment verifications, background checks, EEO-1, OSHA, unemployment, workers’ comp)
  • Serves as Safety Coordinator, responsible for Company Safety and Emergency policy compliance, implementation, safety training, meetings, and maintenance of safety equipment and supplies

Education and Related Experience

  • Secondary degree or equivalent work experience
  • Prior HR experience (1-3 years)
  • HR certification (SHRM/HRCI) is a plus but not required

Other Requirements

  • Verification of employment authorization status in the U.S. will be required upon employment
