The Interop team has made its way to CCA’s Annual Convention at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and I’m pleased to report that the show is off to a great start. Be sure to visit us in Booth 229 to learn about two new partnerships that are enabling us to expand our support for mobile network operators.First, leveraging the unmatched policy control expertise of Tango Telecom, we’re introducing a new cloud-based policy and charging control solution. This technology provides an extensive range of use cases out of the box, giving operators a way to monetize growing demand for mobile data while optimizing their use of network resources. And because it’s in the cloud, operators can launch quickly, without a large up-front investment.

CorePlus X by INterop TechnologiesWe’ve also teamed up with Giesecke & Devrient, a leading developer of mobile security solutions, to introduce a cloud-based LTE OTA platform. In addition to providing operators with a long-term solution for managing LTE devices over the air, it also solves an important problem for operators that have yet to roll out their LTE network. Specifically, existing CDMA OTA platforms are unable to update popular dual-mode CDMA/LTE devices over the air. Our new LTE OTA platform lets operators activate these dual-mode handsets on the CDMA network today and subsequently activate LTE features over the air following LTE network deployment. This eliminates the need for subscribers to return to the operator’s retail location to update LTE settings.

Finally, we’ve announced that our RCS solution is fully compliant with the GSMA’s joyn Blackbird release. Check out our new RCS video to learn more about the full range of features RCS gives subscribers.

To all those in Vegas, we hope to see you on the show floor.
