FORT MYERS, Fla.—Nov. 5, 2013—Interop Technologies™, a provider of core wireless solutions for advanced messaging, over-the-air handset management, policy control, and connectivity gateways, today announced that Panhandle Telecommunication Systems, Inc., dba PTCI, will deploy the Interop cloud-based Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Gateway and Common Short Code (CSC) Gateway solutions.

Based in Guymon, Oklahoma, PTCI provides national wireless service to subscribers in remote areas of the Oklahoma and Texas panhandles. Selecting the Interop cloud deployment option helps the operator provide the latest technology solutions while reducing up-front capital expenditures typically associated with launching new services. PTCI plans to deploy the solutions by year end 2013.

With the Interop Technologies WAP Gateway, PTCI can create a customized WAP deck based on subscribers' browsing habits. The solution includes a robust toolset enabling the operator to identify and manage top links and render deck pages based on device type. The Interop CSC Gateway gives PTCI the ability to provide subscribers with hundreds of national short code offerings, such as ringtones, wallpapers, games, and alerts, through a single point of connection. In addition, the operator can create local revenue-generating campaigns, such as customer service programs for area businesses, local voting campaigns, and premium fee-based offers from retailers.
