The slow burn toward Cox Communications Inc. 's wireless service launch later this year continued Monday, with the MSO announcing that the technology for a text and multimedia messaging service will come from Interop Technologies .
The service will connect to the Internet through Interop's WAP gateway, and Interop will be managing the service for Cox, at least at first. (See Cox Taps Interop.)
