Open Mobile is deploying a virtualised IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) Core from Interop Technologies to provide a range of network services in Puerto Rico.Built on 3GPP standards with added architectural benefits to improve performance and scaling, the virtualised IMS Core provides the foundation needed to launch advanced IP services. Open Mobile IP-based services include Voice-Over-LTE (VoLTE), Emergency Local Breakout (LBO) for VoLTE Roaming, Rich Communication Services (RCS), Voice-Over-WiFi (VoWiFi) and IP Short-Messaging Gateway (IP-SM-GW).
